The boys of the NYPD choir were singing Galway Bay

I really like Fannie Schiavoni's accessory collection. The chain styling is incredible, but also in the picture below, the intricacy in the "shoulder pad" is amazing. I've never seen anything like this so I can't really compare at all like I have done previously. However, the selection of this model was perfect her pale skin against the clashing red of her lips and hair really compliments the charcoal nature of the chains. In this picture on the right, don't you think it looks like the chains are part of her skin, they compliment so well. If I were going to make a comparison, (which I am) it would be that of those non-permanent tattoos that were huge for nineties kids, that you'd lick on the back to make them stick.

Obviously this is a much more sophisticated look and is a real accessory as opposed to a sticker. I just love how it looks so relaxed in the first look, so cool for going out in the second and like an acceptable accessory for work wear in the third.

What do you think?

The designer has a blog too, check it out

I'm not saying it was your fault although you could have done more

Maria Francesca Pepe has some more beautiful full-length dresses that I'm loving at the moment, there are so many I've made this montage of my favourites. In addition her accessories are very en ce moment, especially the diamond pendant which is very like the diamonds on the cover of Kill Paradise's album cover for The Effect, don't you think, as a side note, I love the first three songs on the album; Fall From A Star, Candy Land Wedding and All For You. Enjoy these outfits, some are gowns and others are more work wear, but they have all been selected for different reasons, but basically because I love them. What do you think?

I'm sorry its small, but if anyone knows how to put pictures on via a url/website which also lets them be all together I'd be very happy x

Since you've been away, Everything don't seem like it used to be

There's this Scottish(?) designer Holly Fulton who recently graced London Fashion Week with her collection. However, it's the Spring/Summer 2010 collection that I'm interested in. Lots of symmetrical block designs and it's all very architectural, you can clearly see in some of her designs some famous buildings, such as the Empire State building in certain outfits, look on her website http://www.hollyfulton.com/collections/springsummer-2010 . I have got to mention also her accessories which I absolutely love and they are available for sale.
This necklace gets a special mention, yes, the outfit is amazing also, but look at the intricacy in the necklace, this statement piece really brings it all together. I can imagine that the look looks much less striking without this accessory, not forgetting the bracelet on the left hand and bag in the right.

Doesn't the skirt remind you of the leggings available on www.asos.com, above right ?
Also love the shoes with the leggings, and did you notice how all of Holly Fulton's models wore flats, thought that was interesting.

Aint got no money in my pocket, but Im already here

At the moment I've got this small obsession with long gowns, don't know why, maybe it's the Christmas season and the onset of parties.
In the 2009 Kazakhstan Fashion Week Alima Murzabekov showed off a new collection, with this beautiful gown. I honestly never knew Kazakhstan was a major player in the fashion world, but with talent like this, if they aren't already they should be soon. Thoughts?

& the scent of burning oil was in the air

In economics, recently I have been studying property rights, and a huge conversation ensued about the film Erin Brockovich. I recently came across this designer Mark Fast and found his Spring/Summer range really interesting. Some of his collection really reminded me of what Sarah of America's Next Top Model Cycle 8 (?) was wearing in an Enrique Iglesias music video. To compare check out his website : z://www.markfast.net/gallery/collections/season/spring_summer_2010 and look at look 1.

My favourite of his Spring/Summer collection is this dress which looks really ready to wear, something I can imagine just seeing out in the city, well my city anyway, which is renowned for its eclectic dress senses. Here's the photo. I found it interesting that he used a plus size model in this industry that is so obsessed with being thin. However, there seems to be a lot more plus-sized models around, I think, (who knows truly, could all be publicity I guess), for example Sarah, from ANTM in the picture above, on the right, was a plus sized model, but ended up losing weight whilst on the show which was really the cause of her demise, interesting thoughts.

See we ain't live the same life but represent the same struggle

I heard that blogging is supposed to improve creative writing skills for the "youth of today" which I suppose I am. Writing letters isn't something which I could say I'm a pro at, I don't think blogging is the only way that we write nowadays, there are many peope, who are young, who write lyrics for songs, which are so creative they could rival poetry, quite easily. I don't know that many people who are singers, but I know people who can rap and write their own, but my mind doesn't work that way, so here's the start of this blog, which at this moment in time could turn into anything. I don't suppose anyone will ever read this, maybe that's good, maybe it's bad.
